Chiara Mogini Soprano
Overall winner of the 69th European Community Competition for opera singers "A. Belli" of Spoleto, Chiara Mogini obtained a cum laude voice postgraduate degree at the Music Conservatory of Perugia, interpreting the role of Suor Angelica in the homonymous opera by G. Puccini. Now she is studying under the guidance of the soprano Alessandra Rossi and recently she also graduated in Piano.
She has won numerous prizes in International Opera Competitions, including the 12th Martinelli-Pertile Competition (1st prize), the 9th Benvenuto Franci Competition by OperaPienza (1st prize), the Giulio Neri Competition (Best Young Award, Prize for the best Mozart’s aria), the 6th Luciano Neroni Competition (3rd prize, audience award), the Magda Olivero Competition of Milano (3rd prize), the Flaviano Labò Competition in Piacenza (3rd prize) and the Voci Verdiane International Competition of Busseto (3rd prize).
Her sacred repertoire as Soprano solo includes the G. Verdi’s Requiem performed at the Basilica of Santa Prassede in Rome, the Krönungsmesse K317 by W. A. Mozart, the Requiem by W. A. Mozart, Petite Messe Solennelle and Stabat Mater by G. Rossini conducted by Carlo Palleschi. For the MITO Festival 2017 she was soloist in the 9th Symphony by L. v. Beethoven at the Teatro dal Verme in Milan conducted by Daniele Rustioni; at the Florence Opera she was soloist in the Fantasy op. 80 conducted by Fabio Luisi.
She made her operatic debut as Suzel in L’amico Fritz by P. Mascagni at the Teatro Goldoni of Livorno and in the same theater she was Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana under the conduction of Valerio Galli and directed by Alessio Pizzech. In season 2015/2016 she was Mimì in La Bohème by G. Puccini - at the Menotti Theater in Spoleto and in several important theaters of Japan - and she debuted the role of Amelia in Un ballo in maschera by G. Verdi conducted by Marco Angius. As audition winner at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino she had the opportunity to collaborate with illustrious conductors such as Nicola Paszkowski, Alpesh Chauhan, Francesco Pasqualetti and Fabio Luisi.
She took also part as Cover in the productions Le nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona in the role of La Contessa, Tosca by G. Puccini at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna and Aida by G. Verdi at the Teatro Regio di Parma.
Recently she debuted the role of Micaela in Carmen by G. Bizet at the Theater "Vittorio Emanuele" of Messina and for the Ravenna Festival she played the role of Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana with the direction of Cristina Muti.
