Chiara Mogini
Mezzosoprano

Overall winner of the 69th European Competition for opera singers "A. Belli" of Spoleto, Chiara Mogini obtained a cum laude postgraduate degree in Opera Singing at the Music Conservatory of Perugia and she also graduated in Piano.
She completed her studies at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy and at the Accademia Verdiana of the Teatro Regio in Parma under the guidance of Edda Moser, Lella Cuberli, Mariella Devia, Renato Bruson, Claudio Desderi, Bruno de Simone, Alessandra Rossi, Barbara Frittoli, Giovanna Casolla, Eva Mei, Sonia Ganassi, Mietta Sighele, Fiorenza Cedolins, Enza Ferrari, Chris Merritt, Ernesto Palacio. She is currently perfecting with Raina Kabaivanska.
She has won numerous prizes in International Opera Competitions, including the Spiros Argiris Competition in Sarzana (1st prize), 12th Martinelli-Pertile Competition (1st prize), the 9th Benvenuto Franci Competition by OperaPienza (1st prize), the Ricci Competition in Viterbo (2nd prize), the Giulio Neri Competition (Best Young Award, Prize for the best Mozart’s aria), the 6th Luciano Neroni Competition (3rd prize, audience award), the Magda Olivero Competition of Milan (3rd prize), the Flaviano Labò Competition in Piacenza (3rd prize), the Voci Verdiane International Competition of Busseto (3rd prize) and many others.
Since her opera debut in 2014 she had the opportunity to work with illustrious conductors such as Maurizio Arena, Nicola Paszkowski, Alpesh Chauhan, Francesco Pasqualetti, Michelangelo Mazza, Fabrizio Maria Carminati, Marco Angius, Carlo Palleschi, Aldo Sisillo, Antonino Fogliani, Jordi Bernacèr, Alessandro d’Agostini, Daniele Rustioni, Massimo Zanetti, Sesto Quatrini, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Renato Palumbo, Valerio Galli, Daniel Harding, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Oren, and Zubin Mehta.

She has sung the role of Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, at the Ravenna Festival in a production staged by Cristina Muti, and at the Teatro Comunale of Salerno.
She debuted the role of Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte by Mozart and the role of Amneris in Aida by Verdi for the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, than she was Carmen in concert in Moscow Music Hall with the National Orchestra.

In 2023 she appeared as the First Judge in Musumeci’s Sub Tutela Dei at the Teatro Bellini in Catania, and as the Mother Superior in Prokofiev’s The Fiery Angel at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. She also made a highly acclaimed role debut as Azucena in Verdi’s Il Trovatore at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
In recent seasons she has expanded her repertoire singing Laura in Ponchielli’s La Gioconda at the Teatro Bellini in Catania, the Princesse de Bouillon in Adriana Lecouvreur at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and with engagements in Puccini’s Trittico at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, where she performed Frugola, La Zia Principessa, and Zita. She has also appeared as Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, as the Monacella in Mulé’s La monacella della fontana and Amneris in Aida at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, and as Fenena in Nabucco at the theatres of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Her artistic activity has also taken her abroad: in addition to performing Carmen in concert version at the Moscow Music Hall with the Russian National Orchestra, she has appeared in a Verdi gala with the Orchestra of the Opéra de Nice, and she will soon take the stage at the New National Theatre Tokyo in Cavalleria Rusticana and Aida.
Among her upcoming engagements in Italy are her debut at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice with Wagner’s Lohengrin, her return to the Teatro Bellini in Catania with Carmen, and new productions of Il Trovatore in Genoa and Bari.
