Chiara Mogini

Overall winner of the 69th European Competition for opera singers "A. Belli" of Spoleto, Chiara Mogini obtained a cum laude postgraduate degree in Opera Singing at the Music Conservatory of Perugia and she also graduated in Piano.
She completed her studies at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy and at the Accademia Verdiana of the Teatro Regio in Parma under the guidance of Edda Moser, Lella Cuberli, Mariella Devia, Renato Bruson, Claudio Desderi, Bruno de Simone, Alessandra Rossi, Barbara Frittoli, Giovanna Casolla, Eva Mei, Sonia Ganassi, Mietta Sighele, Fiorenza Cedolins, Enza Ferrari, Chris Merritt, Ernesto Palacio. She is currently perfecting with Raina Kabaivanska.
She has won numerous prizes in International Opera Competitions, including the Spiros Argiris Competition in Sarzana (1st prize), 12th Martinelli-Pertile Competition (1st prize), the 9th Benvenuto Franci Competition by OperaPienza (1st prize), the Ricci Competition in Viterbo (2nd prize), the Giulio Neri Competition (Best Young Award, Prize for the best Mozart’s aria), the 6th Luciano Neroni Competition (3rd prize, audience award), the Magda Olivero Competition of Milan (3rd prize), the Flaviano Labò Competition in Piacenza (3rd prize), the Voci Verdiane International Competition of Busseto (3rd prize) and many others.
Since her opera debut in 2014 she had the opportunity to work with illustrious conductors such as Maurizio Arena, Nicola Paszkowski, Alpesh Chauhan, Francesco Pasqualetti, Michelangelo Mazza, Marco Angius, Carlo Palleschi, Jacopo Sipari, Aldo Sisillo, Daniele Rustioni, Sesto Quatrini, Alessandro d’Agostini, Renato Palumbo, Valerio Galli, Daniel Harding, Fabio Luisi, Daniel Oren and Zubin Mehta.
She made her operatic debut as Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana at the Goldoni Theater in Livorno and for the Ravenna Festival directed by Cristina Muti.
She debuted the role of Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte by Mozart and the role of Amneris in Aida by Verdi for the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, than she was Carmen in concert in Moscow Music Hall with the National Orchestra.
In 2023 she played the role of the First Judge in Musumeci's opera Sub Tutela Dei at the Bellini Theater in Catania, the role of the Mother Superior in Prokofiev's The Fiery Angel at the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari and was Zia Principessa in Suor Angelica by Puccini at the Verdi Theater in Salerno.
She recently made her debut as Azucena in Verdi's Il Trovatore at the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, enjoying great personal success.
Upcoming events include the role of Laura in Ponchielli's La Gioconda at the Bellini Theater in Catania in December.
